 # HOW TO USE 2D PATTERN CURVE COMMAND IN UNIGRAPHICS NX

Share Post On HOW TO USE 2D PATTERN CURVE COMMAND IN UNIGRAPHICS NX Pattern curve command is used for coping curves and lines linearly, circularly and generally. This is very useful command in 2d in unigraphics NX for making patterns of curves. In this image pattern curve command is shown. At first we give curve to the pattern command after clicking on select curve option. Next is layout, layout means in which pattern you want to pattern, this is divided into 3 types i.e. A. Linear B. Circular C. General The reverse direction is used for reverse the direction of linear dimension object. Then the most important step is spacing selection, this is sub divided into  3 parts i.e. A. Count and pitch. B. Count and span. C. Pitch and span. A. COUNT AND PITCH: – count means number of copies we are making using pattern and pitch means distance between two successive curves from center. This option is same for all layout options. In this image we are making pattern by count and pitch option, here count is five and pitch distance is 20, Pitch distance is always from center. ICD is the best training institute of Unigraphics in Delhi.   B. COUNT AND SPAN: – Count means same in all command number of copies and span means start to end distance of pattern for example we want to pattern five circles between 100mm then 100 mm is span here and count is 5 as a result five circles equally arrange in equal order. In this image span is 120mm and count is 5. ICD provides the best Unigraphics training course in Delhi.   C. PITCH AND SPAN: – as discussed above span and pitch is required. This is how we use count, pitch and span for arranging our curve in required manner. Types of layout in pattern command: – LINEAR: – This layout is used for making pattern in required direction. This is frequently used command in 2D sketching. For using this we required a curve which is going to pattern and one linear direction. Linear direction is might be a curve and a datum axis for giving direction. Linear layout patterns the curve in required direction or if you want to pattern at some angle then we have to make a curve as linear direction then only we can pattern at angle. Distance, Count, pitch and span is given to the curve for pattern. We can give dimension to our curve by clicking on create dimension tab. We can pattern in symmetric way by clicking on symmetric. Reverse direction is also available for changing direction from negative to positive. In this image a circle of radius 50 is pattern curve and linear direction is a line at 45 degrees count is 4 and pitch distance is 60mm. ICD is the best institute for training of Unigraphics in Delhi. CIRCULAR: – This is easy way of pattern the curve in circular form. This is frequently used command in 2D sketching. For using this we required a curve which is going to pattern and one axis point through which our curve pattern in circular form. Angle is given in this layout other than distance. We can give dimension to our curve by clicking on create dimension tab. We can pattern in symmetric way by clicking on symmetric. Reverse direction is also available for changing direction from negative to positive. In this image circle of radius 5 is pattern and angle is 60 degrees count is 6. Axis point is at center. GENERAL: – This layout is used for copying the curve from one point to another. This is not used frequently but useful command. for using this select a curve and 2 points. In this image 100 x 100 rectangle is patterned, first point is given at corner of rectangle and second point is given at right side of curve.
